My husband and I are taking our kids to Disney in the fall. My kids are 12, 9, and 4 1/2. What would be the best water park for our age range to go to? Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach? Some rides say 48", others say big kids? What's a big kid?

Hi Ann! Although both water parks are wonderful I would suggest you visit Blizzard Beach. I feel this park is better for a wider range of ages and especially for the younger children such as your 4 1/2 year old. There is an area just for the little ones with many varieties of slides and water functions for them to play all day in. Then the older kids have the next area where there are zip lines and balance floats and many other longer and steeper slides etc. Then of course there are the family tube rides and the more thrilling chutes and slides for all those who wish for the added excitement. I love the large wave pool (make sure you have water shoes) and the long lazy river at this park. Grab a tube and just enjoy the tour of the park from the water.

If the kids get tired of being in the water then head out to the entrance where you will find a cool mini golf course. It is a great way to combine a variety of activities in one location that are sure to keep the family happy.
