My husband and I are taking our 5yo on his first Disney trip in March 2014. We are not a big group of eaters, but we do want to have a sit down meal/day. Our son can be a picky eater and doesn't always eat a full meal. Is the dining plan really worth it?

    Hi Erin!

If you're planning on having a sit down meal each day, in addition to two other meals, I'd seriously consider the Dining Plan.  It can be an incredible value for you!  I'd definitely price out some meals using the menus provided, and see what you'd be ordering for your meals, then add that up over the course of your vacation.

Picky eaters haven't been an issue for us thus far, as we've found the Kids' Menus very kid friendly.  Take a look at the current menu for Be Our Guest as an example.

It's going to take a little math on your part, but knowing your eating habits will help you plan out your potential savings.

    Have a magical vacation!
