Hi! My husband and I are taking a Disney Cruise in November, we are going early and plan on spending the day at Disney Springs. Is there someplace that we can take our bags? Just hate to have to haul those around all day. Thank you for your help! Heather

    Hi there, Heather!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!  I am so excited to hEAR you have a Disney Cruise Line vacation planned for later this year!  Depending on when you set sail, you may be booked on a Very Merrytime itinerary which is one of my favorite times to be onboard!  The aroma of the giant gingerbread house in the atrium is simply magical…and incredibly memorable!  But, themed voyage or not, your adventure at sea will be incredible!

My family has often arrived in Orlando ahead of embarkation and will use that “extra time” to visit one of the theme parks or Disney Springs for a bit of time before heading to Port Canaveral.  It’s a great opportunity to see and experience a little Walt Disney World Resort magic before setting sail and we always enjoy that extra time in Orlando.  As you know, luggage can be somewhat cumbersome and not something you necessarily want to keep up with all day if you can at all avoid it.  Unfortunately, Disney Springs does not have a place for you to store your luggage while exploring so here are some options you may want to consider.  You could simply cart your luggage around Disney Springs with you during your time there (while a bit of an annoyance to keep up with it, I am sure you will see other Guests doing the same!).  Another suggestion that I have is to consider renting a one-way car for your time in Orlando.  You can easily pick one up form the Orlando International Airport and return it to a Port Canaveral location giving you access to a car for the day!  It is an easy one-hour drive to Port Canaveral from Orlando and this option also gives you some flexibility with your travel plans!  Plus, then you can leave your luggage in the car during the day giving you a chance to explore sans suitcases!  We have often found this to be even more cost effective for us at times, so you may want to consider this, depending on your current plans to get to Port Canaveral!

Wishing you a magical and memorable time at Disney Springs and onboard!  Please stop back by with any other questions you may have about your upcoming vacation!
