My husband and i are surprising our daughter with a Disney trip for her 4th birthday April 20. We are contemplating renting a home with a pool but wanted to know if it would be too cold to swim. What is the weather typically like?

    Hi Stephanie!

What a wonderful surprise for your little girl, I love surprising my kids with a trip to Walt Disney World!  The weather in April is typically very nice and comfortable.  The average high is 83 and the average low is 59 with little precipitation.   The Red Cross recommends that a pool's temperature should be at 78 degrees Fahrenheit, in order to keep you comfortable while swimming.  This will  allow for a little swimming in the afternoon, but not necessarily first thing in the morning or later in the evening.  Just in case,  I would check to see if the home's pool is heated, most home rentals offer this for a small fee.  Every once and awhile I have even come across a special where this was included with the price of the rental.  Have a wonderful trip!

    Best Wishes
