My husband surprised me with a wonderful WDW vacation scheduled for this October. We are scheduled to stay at one of the All Star Resorts. However, I was curious if we could switch our resort to the Pop Century without getting hit with any penalties?

Congratulations on your upcoming WDW vacation AND on having a very thoughtful hubby!

If your husband booked a package, you must make changes to your reservation prior to 45 days in advance of your arrival date. There will be no fees if you make the change now.

If your husband booked a room only reservation, you'll have until 8 days prior to your arrival date to make a cancellation or modification.

So, the answer is YES. You can absolutely switch your resort now without a penalty.
