Hello! My husband surprised me and my son and booked a Disney Cruise in April 2019. So excited! My son will be a few months under 3 years old at that time and I'm wondering that if he is potty trained, if he is able to go to the Oceaneer Club? Thanks!

    Hi there, Angela!

Wow!!  What a FUN surprise!!  I remember that my husband surprised me with a Disney Cruise to Alaska after our first one – when I was 6 months pregnant and the thought of bringing a one year old and an infant onboard with was overwhelming and I probably did not respond the way I should have!!  Oops!  But, it ended up being one of the best trips to date!!  You will have the BEST time and I am so excited for you and your family!

The onboard Youth Clubs are fantastic and one of the best amenities that Disney Cruise Line vacations offers – because not only do the young Guests have a place to spend and enjoy some time, the parents do too!!  Unfortunately, exceptions cannot be made to accommodate children under the age of 3 in the Oceaneer Club and Lab, but I will say that your little guy will LOVE the “it’s a small world” nursery!  The space is specially designed to accommodate the youngest cruisers and the Counselors in the nursery are constantly engaging and entertaining the little ones in there so he will not be unhappy!!

Additionally, there will be scheduled Open House hours in the Oceaneer Club and Lab that you can accompany your little and play in the space with him!  There are even scheduled activities during Open House hours allowing you all to participate in some of the activities – one of our favorites is Mickey’s Puzzle Playtime where some special friends drop by!!

I know your family will have a FANTASTic Disney Cruise Line vacation – and hopefully it will be the first of many Disney Cruise Line vacations.  Please come back with any other questions you have as your planning continues.

    Happy Sailing!
