So, my husband up and suprised me with the best sentence ever "Plan a trip to disney"..4 wks before we go..Want chef mickey..its during the week Oct 14-18 what are my chances of scoring a seat!?

Hello again Whitney!  Your husband may not want to wear a MagicBand but he is already super cool for surprising you like this!  As you probably know, Chef Mickey's is one of the most popular character dining locations on property and many guests have booked their reservations 180 days out.  It will be difficult to get a reservation but it's not impossible.  Guest do have to cancel from time to time so as you get closer to your dates, you may see some availability.

I would suggest you check often to see if a reservation has become available.  Be flexible with your dates/times if this is a must-do.  If you have a smart phone that supports the My Disney Experience app, download it if you haven't already.  You'll be able to check dining availability on the fly - make it your mission!  Hopefully you will be able to get a reservation before your vacation arrives.  Sending tons of pixie dust your way!  Good luck!
