My husband was suppose to go, but can’t anymore. Can I switch the name of the ticket from my husband’s name to my sisters name?

    Hey there, Martha!

Thanks so much for asking this question about your upcoming visit to the Disneyland Resort. Your pixie-dusted day in the theme parks is almost here, and planDisney is the perfect place to get the answers to all your last-minute questions!

I’m sorry to hear that your husband isn’t able to join you in the theme parks. As you may already know, the parks are only open to California residents at this time, so Cast Members at the theme park entrances may require that Guests present valid identification to show proof of residency. For that reason, it’s best that the name associated with each ticket and theme park reservation matches the name of the person using the ticket and their identification card. Unused theme park tickets cannot be reassigned online, so I suggest that you call the Disneyland Resort at (714) 781-4636 as soon as possible for assistance with switching the ticket to your sister prior to your arrival. Otherwise, please plan on inquiring about making the change when you arrive at the resort’s Main Entrance Ticket Booths. Also, keep in mind that even if a theme park ticket expires, you can always use the amount you paid for it originally as credit toward the purchase of a new valid ticket on a future date.

I hope you have a wonderful day at the Happiest Place on Earth, Martha. Please feel free to stop by again with any other planning questions you can dream of!

    Wishing you magic,
    Courtney
