My husband and I will be staying at the WL in Sept. He cannot walk very far and I do not know what location to request on our reservation to be close to the lobby and elevator. Or do we need to be close to transportation? You all are wonderful! Thanks!

    Hi Daphne!

Did you know that you will be staying at my favorite place in the whole world this September?  Yes, Disney's Wilderness Lodge is so magical and well-themed.  I'm sure you're going to love it!

Regarding room requests, be sure to make note on your resort reservation that your husband has mobility issues and therefore you would like a room near the lobby and the elevators.  This will also put you very close to the buses that will transport you to the Disney theme parks.  There is an exit right off the first floor of the lobby that is just a few steps from the bus stop at the Wilderness Lodge. When you check in, be sure to ask the cast member to see if your requests have been honored.  If not, kindly ask him or her to check their inventory of available rooms for one that might be more convenient for your husband.  You certainly don't want a room at the end of the hallway at the Wilderness Lodge as these are a LONG walk from the lobby and the buses. Although it is not guaranteed that your room requests will be fulfilled, I'm sure the cast members will make every effort to find you a convenient room.

I was going to sign off my message by wishing you a magical trip, but since you'll be staying at Disney's Wilderness Lodge I know that the magic is guaranteed!  Have a blast!

    Jill

PS.  Thanks for your kind words about the Moms Panel.  We think you're wonderful too!
