Ahoy there, Hannah! Welcome aboard planDisney!
A stay at
Walt Disney World Resort before your
Disney Cruise Line vacation, you say? Well, that's just about the most planDrew-approved vacation I could ever think of! My family loves taking
Disney Vacations by Land and Sea - with emphasis on the sea part - and you're in for the best of both worlds!
Even better, no matter which
Walt Disney Resort Collection hotel you decide on, as long as you book your
Ground Transportation through Disney Cruise Line, you're sure to get the ride you're looking for! As someone who is still mourning the final departures of Disney's Magical Express, when it comes from resorts to port, port to resorts, or port to the airport, the Disney Cruise Line motorcoaches are still going strong!
Once you decide which resort you and your crew be staying at, all you have to do is
make a quick call to a crew member by phone to ensure that your pre-cruise stay and your Ground Transportation are matched to your cruise line reservation. Then, it's time to get packing for both trips!
During your check-in at the resort, you should be provided information about when your motorcoach to the port will depart on embarkation day! You'll tag your luggage and it will "automagically" arrive outside your stateroom the first evening of your cruise!
Talk about smooth sailing!
Just remember to have your
Travel Documentation and any daily essentials in a day bag to carry on during embarkation - I always make a folder to keep all of this together with my Port Arrival Form and any other items Disney Cruise Line sends me!
I hope that helps clear the way for a wonderful vacation, Hannah! Thank you so much for your question, and if you have any others as your cruise gets closer, please drop us another line here at planDisney!
Fair winds and following seas!
Andrew
