Hi, there!
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Kaley. We're so happy to help you plan your visit to the Walt Disney World Resort!
You will LOVE your
Royal Guest Room at
Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside. With whimsical nods to your favorite Disney fairy tales, and a headboard featuring a dazzling fiber-optic fireworks display, you'll feel every part the princess during your stay! My husband and I prefer ground floor rooms at Disney Resort hotels because when we come back to our room after an adventure-filled day in the theme park, we are ready to SLEEP and staying on the ground floor gets us to our bed faster. Magnolia Bend, where the Royal Rooms are housed, do have elevators though, so don't let weary legs stop you from enjoying a room on the top floor! My family stayed in a River View room in Alligator Bayou, and we loved stepping out of our room each day and seeing the beautiful Sassagoula River. While the view was lovely, there was some passing foot traffic along the river path, so I do think it may be better viewed from the top floor. The Royal Guest Rooms are in the Oak Manor and Parterre Place buildings. These buildings offer the most privacy as they are farthest away from the main buildings of the resort. Both buildings are an equal distance from a "quiet pool," but Oak Manor is closest to Ol' Man Island (the main pool) and the East Depot bus stop. They're also both just a short bridge-walk away from the lobby and dining locations.
Don't forget, Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside offers convenient ferryboat access to
Disney Springs, the perfect place for a date night!
Thanks for stopping by, Kaley!
