Magical Greetings, Gina, and welcome back to planDisney! It's been a while, and it's so good to see you back here again. Thanks for stopping by with your question.
I'm happy to share that yes, you can visit your family at
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. To get there, I recommend taking
Walt Disney World Bus Service from
Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter to Magic Kingdom. From there, you can either take
Walt Disney World Water Transportation or
Walt Disney World Monorail Transportation to the Polynesian. If you're driving, you may
park at the Transportation and Ticket Center and walk over to the Polynesian or take the Monorail. Because you're a
Disney Resort hotel Guest, parking will be complimentary for you. Just make sure you're aware of park hours so that you can make the return trip back. I made the mistake once of losing track of time at
Trader Sam's Grog Grotto and had to take a ride share back to my resort.
Please keep in mind that some amenities, such as the use of the pools and hot tubs are reserved for hotel Guests only. That being said, you'll have access to plenty of things to see and do. When I visit the Polynesian, I love to stop by
Tambu Lounge for a Lapu Lapu, and I never can resist doing a little browsing in the merchandise shops. Of course, no visit would be complete without a trip to
Pineapple Lanai for some tropical soft serve.
Gina, I hope this is helpful to you and that you have a fantastic trip with your family. If you have any other planning questions we can help with, we hope to see you real soon!
Grab hold of your dreams!
Melanie
