Hiya Verna,
Thank you so much for stopping by planDisney with your resort question! Your trip will be here before you know it, and soon you’ll be strolling right down the middle of
Main Street, U.S.A., and how special that you’re traveling with family, those are truly some of my favorite Disney memories. There’s just something extra magical about sharing it all together, and it really does become such a core memory.
So, Verna, let’s jump right into your question.
Parking at
Disney Resorts is complimentary for both overnight Guests and day Guests who are visiting for select dining, shopping, entertainment, or recreation. As a day guest visiting family and friends, you’ll typically be able to park at the resort (subject to availability). When you arrive at the gate, just let the security guard know you’re visiting family. They’ll ask for a photo ID, the last name on the reservation, and sometimes the room number.
A little tip from my own experience: it’s always helpful for you or your family members staying at the resort to let the
front desk know you’re expecting day guests. It just helps everything run a little more smoothly.
While you are staying at the Disney Resorts, don’t forget to take advantage of all the complimentary resort activities! One of our favorites is
Movies Under the Stars. After a full park day, it’s such a relaxing way to wind down. My kids love trying to guess what movie will be playing each night; it’s become a fun nightly game of ours.
Verna, I hope this helps answer your question! If you have any more, feel free to stop by again.
See ya real soon,
Christina
