Hi Jill,
Thanks for visiting Disney Parks Moms Panel, and hello to a fellow NJ Disney fan!
It's always so much fun when families can vacation together at Walt Disney World, and I'm sure that you all will enjoy a magical stay.
The general policy is that Guests may only use the pools located at the Resort in which the Guests are staying, so pool hopping is not permitted between Walt Disney World Resort hotels. There are a few exceptions where the Resorts are related. For example, Guests at one of Disney's All-Star Resorts can pool hop among the All-Star Resorts hotel pools, and Guests staying at Disney’s Port Orleans Resorts can enjoy the pools at Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside and at Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter. Pool-hopping (also called Complimentary Alternative Pool Use) is permitted for
Disney Vacation Club Members among some Disney Vacation Club Resorts. Pool swimming aside, I think you'll find a lot of experiences for you and your family to share together at your Resorts. You could take in the
Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort where you're staying, or head over to Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa to listen to the Grand Floridian Society Orchestra outside
Mizner's Lounge. Both Resorts are wonderful and will offer lots of magic for your family to enjoy together.
Here's wishing you a fantastic Walt Disney World vacation.
Enjoy your Disney!
Jerry
