Hi Janet!
Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground is my favorite Walt Disney World Resort! It's such a unique way to experience the magic of Disney while staying in a serene atmosphere. I grew up RV camping at Fort Wilderness and now I love taking my kids for tent camping whenever we can.
Fort Wilderness Resort offers transportation to all of the parks and
Disney Springs. Magic Kingdom transportation will be via the ferry boat at the marina by the Settlement Depot. All other parks and Disney Springs transportation is via complimentary bus located at the Outpost Depot located by the front of the Resort.
Getting from your campsite or cabin to the bus stop can be done by the internal bus system. It stops at the entrance to almost every loop and will drop you right off at Outpost Depot. The best way to get around without having to take the internal bus is by
renting a golf cart. This is always a "must-do" for my family when we camp. Not only is it the most time efficient way to get around, it's super fun and the golf carts can drive to and park where cars cannot. They can be parked and charged right at your campsite or cabin. Golf carts reservations are highly recommended.
Please stop back by if you have any additional vacation planning questions.
Have a magical day!
Leslie
