Welcome aboard the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Nadine!
Disney Vacations by Land and Sea combine the perfect balance of theme park magic and high-seas adventure. You must be counting down the days until your stay at Disney's Yacht Club Resort before setting sail with Disney Cruise Line! This is in fact my family's favorite combo for a Disney surf-and-turf vacation.
If you have booked
Disney Cruise Line Ground Transfers from the ship to the airport, and are also eligible for
Onboard Airline Check-In, then you can send the luggage ahead to your flight straight from the ship. You will go to the airport on the motorcoach, and then hire a taxi, Lyft™ or Uber from Orlando International Airport heading to Disney Springs, before going back to the airport that evening.
You could reserve a one-way car rental post-cruise for debarkation day. There are some car rental places near Port Canaveral. These companies operate free shuttles from the port to their rental locations. This option would allow you to keep your suitcases in the trunk of the car while enjoying the myriad shopping, entertainment and dining options at Disney Springs.
If you are using a different method of transportation post-cruise, please note that Orlando International Airport doesn't store luggage due to security reasons. Although I haven't used this service personally, I've heard good things about Hold My Luggage. They "will pick up, store and return your luggage to you, curbside, at your departure flight location". For rates and more information, please visit their website, www.holdmyluggage.com.
Hope to "Sea" Ya' Real Soon!
