My husband & I are staying at Coronado Springs in September. I'm trying to plan transportation times! How long should we allow for bus trips to the parks? We're also eating at Ft. Wilderness on our MK day. How long will it take to get there from the pa

    Alyson:

I really love the Transportation Wizard at www.ourlaughingplace.com and use it occasionally when I want to find the shortest route from one part of Disney World to another. It will take about 20 minutes to take the bus from Coronado Springs to Animal Kingdom or the Magic Kingdom and 15 minutes to Epcot or Hollywood Studios. However, keep in mind that the buses make several stops at Coronado Springs so you could find yourself with an additional 10 minutes of commute time if you get on at the first stop and have to wait boarding passengers at each stop.

The trip from the Magic Kingdom to Fort Wilderness is best taken by ferry. You'll walk right out of the gates of MK to the boat dock immediately in front of you which services the fort. The ride takes about 15 minutes or so but like bus transportation, give yourself time--up to 20 minutes--if you just missed the last boat and are waiting for the arrival of the next one.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
