Hi Joann,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and thank you for your question. I just got back from a stay at
Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, and we really loved it! The amazing theming and well-appointed food court really made it a fabulous resort for my family.
We stayed in the Little Mermaid Standard rooms, and I was pleasantly surprised at how quiet that part of the resort was. When we returned to our room for midday naps, we found our room to be very peaceful, even though our room faced the pool. It was also very quiet at nighttime and in the early mornings.
If you’re looking for quieter spots around the resort, I definitely recommend the Cars pool. That area was practically deserted during our stay, and the theming over at that pool is pretty dreamy. I suggest stopping by
The Drop Off Pool Bar on the way over there and picking up an adult beverage or a Lava Smoothie to enjoy poolside. The Little Mermaid pool is nice too, and definitely quieter than the feature pool (which is still worth checking out…it has a lot of fun features to discover).
Joann, this resort is also really perfect for a nice walk. The resort features a
1.38-mile walking or jogging trail, which is well signed. There are plenty of shaded spots all over the resort to stop and take in the theming and scenery, and you could also cross the bridge across Hourglass Lake to Disney’s Pop Century Resort to check out its iconic décor and yummy food court. Be sure to ask at both resorts about grown-up activities, because you never know what hidden treasures you might find.
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
