Hello, my husband and I will be staying at the AKL in two weeks. On Weds 25th we plan to start our day in AK and then hop over to HS for the extended hours. Do we need to start in HS so we have a park reservation for HS or does our plan work? Thanks!

Welcome to planDisney, Nathan! I'm so glad you came to us today to ask about one of my favorite perks of staying at a Disney Deluxe Resort Hotel: Extended Evening Theme Park Hours. The Theme Parks have a special atmosphere at night, and it's so nice to be able to spend that extra time enjoying attractions with a typically shorter wait. As a guest at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, you're eligible for this amazing benefit so let's chat about what kind of admission you need to get in!

Nathan, if you have an Annual Pass or a ticket with the Park Hopper Option, you do not need to have a Disney Park Pass reservation for Disney's Hollywood Studios to be able to enjoy the extra evening time. If you have a 1 Park Per Day ticket, you will need to switch your reservation to Disney's Hollywood Studios to take advantage of Extended Evening Theme Park Hours.

There will be nine attractions open for you to ride while you're enjoying your extra time at Disney's Hollywood Studios, so be sure to prioritize your favorites! Slinky Dog Dash and The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror are super cool at night, so I recommend hitting those up once it gets dark so you can enjoy that experience.

I hope this answers your question, Nathan, and please let us know if there's anything else we can do to help you plan your magical vacation!
