My husband and I stayed at POR in Jan 2012 for our honeymoon and we are returning in Jan 2013 for our 1st anniversary. We loved POR but want to try something new, like CBR. I hear its kind of big and we don't have kids. What would be the best option? :)

    Hi Allison,

Did you stay at Disney's Port Orleans Resort Riverside during your honeymoon?  If so, have you considered trying Disney's Port Orleans Resort French Quarter for a subtle change of pace?  There's so much to like about this smaller, oh-so-quaint resort.  The resort grounds are very romantic and I love that everything is so close.  There's only one bus stop so you needn't worry about having to walk too far to any section of the resort.

If you're looking for a moderate resort that is a complete departure from the theming of Disney's Port Orleans Resort, then Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort is an excellent choice.  It is a large resort but its tropical theming is delightful.  Consider booking a preferred room as that will situate you closer to the resort's food court, shopping area, and main themed pool.

A standard room at Disney's Wilderness Lodge may be an option worth considering.   This resort is my all-time favorite resort and, in January, the standard rooms may not cost much more than a preferred room at one of the Disney moderate resorts.  I think this resort is a lovely choice for guests traveling with or without children.  The theming is amazing and I love its proximity to the Magic Kingdom.  Check it out!

Let us know if you need any more information before you make your decision.  We'd be happy to help!
