In 1963 my husband and i spent our honeymoon at Disneyland. In 2013 we are planning to spend our 50th with children and grandchildren at WDW. Can we expect anything special from Disney to celebrate our special occacion or should we not get our hopes up?

Hi Jill (love your name, by the way!),

Congratulations on your upcoming golden wedding anniversary!  You have certainly picked the perfect place to celebrate your magical milestone.

Be sure to make note on your Disney resort reservation that you and your husband are celebrating your anniversary.  My parents celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary at Walt Disney World a few years back and the Cast Members at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort left some very sweet surprises in their room during their stay.  Treats like this are not guaranteed, but I've heard a number of people say that Disney honored their milestones in very thoughtful ways.

Also, be sure to pick up anniversary celebration buttons at the Guest Services desk of the first theme park you visit.  If you wear these, you'll find that you will enjoy special greetings and congratulations from Cast Members throughout the parks.  You may never know what special brand of pixie dust might be coming your way.

Wishing you the best anniversary celebration ever in 2013.  Let us know if you need any additional advice.  We'd be happy to assist you.
