Hi Marsha!
Staying at a
Walt Disney World Resort is a treat. The convenience, whimsical, fun pools, early access to the theme parks, free transportation, and being able to sleep and stay while experiencing the Disney difference takes your vacation to a higher level.
Consider your budget and priorities when choosing a hotel. Do you want to splurge for a
Deluxe Resort? Maybe you want to have more money for Mickey Premium Ice Cream Bars and Dole Whips and will find a
Value Resort meets your needs. Or pick the middle road and reserve a room at a
Moderate Resort.
When I go all out,
Disney's Contemporary Resort is my favorite. You can walk to the
Magic Kingdom, take a monorail to Epcot, and the Mary Blair lobby mural is fantastic. If you try the Value Resort route, consider
Disney's Pop Century Resort. The over the top, nostalgic theming (remember Big Wheels and computer disks?) and
Disney Skyliner access make this location a delight. Currently
Walt Disney World is offering
discounted stays to Florida residents at select resorts, so these special deal options might help you narrow down your choices.
Disney does honor older tickets with valid admission. Tickets bought before 2004 with unused days are honored. Tickets purchased after 2004 expire 14 days after their first use unless the No Expiration Option was added during the few years it was offered. Guest services typically needs to check the tickets in person, but you can get the ball rolling by calling the existing tickets line at (407) 939-1942.
Wishing you a wonderful adventure during your visit to Mickey!
