My husband and 2 sons (4 and 11 yrs old) will be coming in August. I currently have the plus dining plan and I am concerned that is not enough food per person per day. We usually eat 3 meals a day with healthy snacking in between. Your advice????

Kimberly, welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

I love the Disney Dining Plan. It takes away the worry of budgeting each meal and allows me to just enjoy my vacation. With the Disney Dining Plan, you get a lot of food. Dessert with every meal - what can be more magical than that? However, I understand that too much food for one person may be not enough for another. The Disney Dining Plan is too much food for me to eat. On the other hand, my husband and oldest son normally eat a lot and they think it is just the right amount of food. They usually end up using my snack credits, too!

We also order breakfast items, fruit, juice, milk, and snacks from Garden Grocer. They are a local grocery delivery service that will deliver your order right to your resort. This may be a good idea for your family if you think you may not have enough to eat with your Disney Dining Plan entitlements. I also find it very convenient to have these items right in the room. At the end of a long day at the park – it’s helpful to have something handy for the kids. It is also nice to eat a quick breakfast in your room while getting ready for the day’s adventures.

    Have a magical day, Kimberly!

Meet the Panelist: Rachel, Wisconsin

Hi, I’m Rachel! I am a “boy mom” to two rowdy little men at home and married to my high school sweetheart. I am fortunate enough that my prince charming loves all things Disney just as much as I do! For me, planning a trip to Walt Disney World can be just as magical as being there. It brings our family together as we dream, plan, and count down the days. I would be honored to help plan your visit and share in your family’s very own magic! Learn More About Rachel
