Hi, my husband, my son 2 years old and I, will go to WDW in September. We have a reservation in the Cristal Palace at 2:00, but we don’t want to miss the "Disney's Dreams Come True Parade" and I know that this begin at 3:00. What do you recommen

    Hi Melody,

I had received a similar question back in 2008, so I decided to time my family's meals at character buffets during our last trip.  I was surprised that they only took us about 30-40 minutes to complete.

You may want to get to the Crystal Palace podium a few minutes before 1:45.  Even though you have reservations, you may have to wait a few minutes before your table becomes available.

When you leave the restaurant, you will be very close to the parade route and you should be able to see the entire parade.  If you want to have prime front row spots for the parade, you need to sit on the curb for at least 20-30 minutes before the parade starts.  I have never done that personally.  I find that the floats are so big and the characters are so high up, that they can be viewed just fine from many yards away.

    Have a great trip

I have been fortunate enough to be on the Walt Disney World Moms Panel since 2008.  As a Disney World enthusiast, I can’t imagine a greater opportunity.  My husband, our 6-year-old daughter, and I visit WDW a few times a year.
