If my husband and son go on a ride that they have a fastpass for, can they get me a ride swap ticket? When I go on do I need a fast pass too or is the ride swap tix essentially a fast pass itself? When I go on with the ride swap can my son go with me?

    Hi Wendy,

Thank you for your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.  We love utilizing the Rider Switch service too.

The Disney Parks have come up with a convenient feature called the Rider Switch to help families utilize the attractions in a timely manner even if all the Guests in their party do not wish to ride whether it is due to height restrictions or personal preference.

Both parents and child(ren) will go to the queue line and speak to the Cast Member so they can give you the Rider Switch card. Once the first parent rides, they will switch and the other parent can ride. The waiting adult may also bring one other Guest with them to ride the attraction with them. The Rider Switch may not be available at all attractions so check with a Cast Member and to obtain yours.

Guests will use their FastPass+ and ride the attraction, then the waiting adult may utilize the Rider Switch pass to ride the attraction using that service.

I hope this helps and that you all have a magical time. If you have any more questions planning your pixie-dusted trip please don't hesitate to ask.

    Have a magical adventure!
