my husband, son (17) and daughter (11) and I will be at Disney for New Years Eve, trying to plan our day. Trying to decide which park to be in for fireworks Epcot or MK?

    Hi, Vickie!

What a way to bring in the New Year!  Your family must be so excited.  Walt Disney World for New Year's Eve gets very crowded so enter the park early in the day (parks can possibly reach capacity) then stay there.  Make a nice dining reservation and just take your time with the crowds.

As far as which park, I have heard that the least crowded park is actually Hollywood Studios!  Now I know this was not one of your choices, but for the smallest crowds, you might want to think about this option.

Really, every park is going to be super crowded with guests wanting to celebrate the New Year with Mickey and his pals, so maybe select a park that is close to your resort or one that has a desired dining reservation available for you.

Whatever you decide, have a very Happy New Year!

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. My husband proposed to me in front of Cinderella Castle and we have not stopped visiting ever since! It's a blast helping guests here at planDisney!
