My husband and I are signed up to run the Everest Challenge. Is it possible for us to let our 3 kids do the kids races scheduled to start at 8:30 and be at the other parking lot for our start time at 9:30?! My kids were so excited to do their first races.

Hi Amanda!  I am so excited for the Expedition Everest Challenge!  I am running it with one son,and my other is running with my sister-in-law!  I think it's going to be a lot of fun!

Because both of the races begin in the same parking lot of Animal Kingdom, I think you will have plenty of time to see your kids race and be at the start for the 5K.  I even emailed my contact with runDisney to confirm that.  This race is much more laid-back and less crowded than other runDisney races, so I wouldn't stress about it.  I am copying the schedule below for you:

    runDisney Kids' Races

    Saturday, May 5, 2012
    8:30 p.m.
    Butterfly Parking Lot
    Disney's Animal Kingdom® Theme Park

    Expedition Everest Challenge

    Saturday, May 5, 2012
    9:30 p.m.
    Butterfly Parking Lot
    Disney's Animal Kingdom® Theme Park

Your kids will love taking part in the races and getting their special medals!  Good luck and see you at the race!
