Hi Holly and welcome back to planDisney! Advance happy silver anniversary to you and your husband, I’m so happy for you both! Let’s get you and your husband suited up for your special trip to
Walt Disney World by answering your question!
Currently, the
Walt Disney World Property Rules do not state that formal attire is prohibited while on property, including visits to the Resort hotels and the theme parks. The rules do state that costumes (for those aged 14 or older), clothing that drags on the ground, or attire that detracts from the experience for other guests are prohibited. In addition, Disney Cast Members reserve the right to deny admission if your attire is not deemed permissible. So, I would avoid any formal attire that drags on the ground or that closely resembles a Disney character as that may be misconstrued as a costume.
Booking a
Capture Your Moment sounds like the perfect way to commemorate this special occasion. We did this experience for our daughter’s first birthday and we were extremely pleased with the results! I recommend booking this experience as soon as your booking window opens (generally 60 days in advance of your arrival), as spots certainly get filled fast!
Holly, I know you didn’t ask for this, but I also wanted to provide some suggestions to further celebrate and commemorate your anniversary trip!
- Personalized buttons. While you may be aware that you can get free buttons from Guest Services celebrating your anniversary, did you know that you can get them decorated for a small fee over at Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe at the Magic Kingdom or at Disney’s Days of Christmas at Disney Springs?
- Fireworks cruise. There’s no better way to celebrate your happily ever after than a private fireworks cruise on Seven Seas Lagoon while watching the Happily Ever After fireworks!
- Signature dining. Some of the signature dining experiences at Walt Disney World are not to be missed! My wife and I celebrated our fifth anniversary with dinner at Citricos at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. There’s plenty of other fine dining locations to choose from both in the parks and at the Resort hotels!
Holly, I hope this information is helpful for you as you plan your very special trip this December. And once again, I just want to congratulate you and your husband on such a momentous occasion and wishing you have the most magical trip! If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to
contact me and my fellow panelists here at planDisney!
Your pal,
Sean
