My husband and I are seasoned WDW vacationers taking our first cruise. We are staying at the Boardwalk Resort immediately following a 5-night cruise on the Dream. How will we get from the port to the parks/our hotel? What about our bags? Thanks!

    Hi, Rebecca!

Yay! I love it when Walt Disney World guests get their sea-legs on for the first time! It sounds like you've got some great plans already...let me help you navigate a little further along.

You've got a few options for port transportation if you don't have a car. You can go online and book a round-trip motorcoach transfer from the airport to the port and back to Walt Disney World. It costs about $70 per person, and you can go to the Planning Center on DisneyCruise.com or call (800) 951-3532.

If there are more than just a family of four in your traveling party, you may want to consider a private car service or limousine.  For about the same price, five or more people can enjoy a representative meeting you at baggage claim, loading your luggage and whisking you away to the port without a wait on other guests. Plus, when you're ready on disembarkation day, they are there at the front waiting and can take you directly to your resort (without stopping at other ones).  You can find reputable companies on the allears.net or mousesavers.com sites. Or, you can call the guy that drove my family and me this weekend -- he was excellent. His name is Bish, and he's at Golden Touch Limousine Service at 321-228-5990.

I hope that helps you plan. Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation. Bon voyage!
