My husband is running the 2017 Wine & Dine Half Marathon, and I was curious if there will be taxis available near the finish so he can expedite his return to the resort. If not, I don't want to schedule FastPasses too early. Thanks!

    Hi Gwyn!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Congratulations to your husband for taking on the challenge of the Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon!

While the official course for the Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon has not been released, and won't be until a few weeks before the event, our best estimate is to go off previous races, where the race ended at Epcot. This is subject to change, but it does give us the best idea of what to expect. While there will not be taxis dedicated to runDisney participants, he should easily be able to take a cab from Epcot itself. In addition to the standard Walt Disney World transportation, he also has the option to try the new Minnie Van Service at Walt Disney World or a ride share program like Uber or Lyft.

If you are trying to plan on his return time for scheduling your FastPass+, please do buffer a little outside of just his standard pace. While the race does start at 5:30 AM, this is for runners in the first corral and depending on what corral he is in, he could potentially cross the start as late as 6:30 AM. In addition to that, he'll need some time to collect his medal, food and drinks at the end to refuel after his long race! Please take this into consideration because I'd hate for y'all to miss your reservation.

Please let me know if you have any other questions before your upcoming runDisney trip!
