My husband and I are running in the Royal Family 5K. This a family trip with our 2 year old son. My parents will be watching him during our race, but are not at the same resort. Is there time/place to take him with us & meet up before the race to hand

    Hi, Amanda!

I'm so excited you and your husband will be participating in the Cinderella Royal Family 5k as a couple. Nothing brings a Royal Court together like a runDisney event.

When it comes to getting your little prince to your parents, your best race morning option is to set up a meeting time at the start zone staging area of the 5k. This will require you all to take Disney-provide race transportation from your resorts to the start zone. If your parents will be taking your son back to their resort, they will be able to take race transportation to return. However, there may be a bit of a wait as buses will still be bringing runners and spectators in and would not have started return service back to the resorts yet. As far as a good time to meet, I would suggest at least one hour prior to race time. Also, please allow at least 45 mins to an hour for transportation from your resort to the start zone- it makes for a very early morning, I know!

I hope this gives you a good idea of what race morning will look like when getting everyone where they need to be, so you can enjoy the race and your prince can spend the morning happily with his grandparents. Please let me know if you have any other questions about your participation in this or any other runDisney event.

    Enjoy every magical mile!
