My husband is running in the marathon in January and I am trying to plan a trip for the 2 of us. His parents live in FL & are planning on staying in a resort with us. Would it be more economical for them to book the trip since they can get resident rat

    Hi Lisa,

I registered for my first marathon this January as well.  Is your husband as nervous as I am?  I was able to get a great "marathon rate" on a room via the main reservation line.  Be sure to mention that he is registered when you call for a reservation.  If your in-laws have a Florida Resident annual pass, they may be able to get a good rate as well, so it may be worth your while to inquire and compare rates.  If you have AAA, I have had a lot of luck getting super good deals by asking for this rate as well.  I would try any/all of the above and pick the best deal!

Please wish your husband good luck!
