Lucinda, No, you won't need a ticket to get your race packet. You will get more information from the race officials closer to the race, but when I ran the marathon in 2007 it was very well organized. Each resort had buses going to the Wide World of Sports and back. I needed a photo ID to get my packet which included my chip and number. There was also a large expo with guest speakers, vendors, and some give-a-ways.
