My husband is running the Goofy in Jan. We are staying at AKL. Will it be possile to get my kids to the finish line to see him cross on the Sunday (Marathon Day)? They usually close the roads, right? He is probably starting in the last corral we think.

    Hi Crystal!

That is awesome that your husband is going for the Goofy!  What an accomplishment!

You can definitely see him at the finish line.  You will just take one of the race weekend transportation buses (buses are to and from all race weekend events from every resort and are for runners and spectators) from your resort to the Epcot parking lot.  That is the starting area and the finish area.  There are places you can line up along the closing mile, and you can also be right at the finish line.

You should sign up for runner tracking before the races.  You will get an email with information about this about a week or two before the race.  You will then get alerts (text or email) that will let you know when he crosses certain points and it will also give you his estimated finish time.  This will help you plan for when to be there.

I am sure he will love seeing him family when he crosses that line!

Please let me know if you have any other questions.
