My husband and I are running in the Disney Princess 1/2 Marathon. Coming from Canada & want to combine it with a vacation for us & kids. Not sure if we should come a week before or a week after. Any insights as to when it might be less busy?

Hi Maureen!  My husband and I ran in the 2010 Princess and had a great time!  I'm sure you will love it!

I can tell you that the week prior to the race will be significantly more crowded at the parks.  That week includes our President's Day holiday, which is always a busy time at Disney World.

The website www.touringplans.com is a great place to check crowd predictions levels.  They are always very accurate.  The week before the race is predicted to have a lot of 10 out of 10 crowd levels, but the week after the race is predicted to be more around 3's and 4's out of 10.

Let me know if you have any other questions as you prepare for the race!!
