    My husband will Run Walt Disney World Half Marathon in Saturday, January 7, 2017. I bought a ChEAR Squad – PLATINUM Package, I wonder if I need to buy a park ticket.

    Thank you for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

    The Walt Disney World Half Marathon is a great race and such a fun race weekend.  Having the Platinum ChEAR Squad package is going to make your spectating experience even better ... especially if the weather is cold!

    Runners and spectators do not need to buy any type of Walt Disney World theme park tickets for the race. Most of your ChEAR Squad activities will take place in the Epcot parking lot.  You will also have access to a reserved viewing area in front of Cinderella Castle at the Magic Kingdom, but it will be before the park opens and spectators will not need park tickets to enter.  You would only need to purchase a ticket to a park if you plan to go later on that day (or any other days during your visit).
