Hi Miranda, welcome to planDisney!
Once a Disney band (also known as MagicBand or MagicBand+) has been linked to a guest
it cannot be registered to another guest. However, since your husband is switching from a My Disney Experience account managed by you to his own My Disney Experience account, he may be able to maintain the use of the Disney band. Your husband will need to merge his former account with his new account. To merge his accounts, you will need to log in to your My Disney Experience account and visit your Family & Friends List. Find your husband’s profile and click “Update.” Then select “Share plans with this guest” and enter your husband’s email address that he uses to log in to his new My Disney Experience account.
Your husband should receive an email inviting him to share planning with you. Once he accepts, the information from his old account managed by you should merge with his new personal account. He should see his Disney band listed in his “My MagicBands and Cards” if he is on the
Walt Disney World Resort website, or under “MagicBands and More” in the
My Disney Experience mobile app.
