My husband will require an ECV due to a failing heart. We are making a family memory in planning our vacation in June. How do I reserve a motorized cart for him? Because he is handicapped, are there limitations to where the ECV is allowed on site?

    Hi Patti,

The Walt Disney World Resort is a great place to make memories with your family and June is a wonderful month to enjoy Walt Disney World.

At the Walt Disney World Resort, ECVs are on a first come, first serve basis. They can be rented near the front of each park. Your husband will need to walk from the transportation area to this location and the ECVs can not leave the park. If you want to tour another park, save your receipt and go to the next park. You will be able to have another ECV provided any are available.

If your husband will need help at your resort, you may want to consider renting from an outside company. These companies will deliver to your resort and you can take the ECV on Disney transportation.

As for limits, each attraction will indicate if you can take the ECV with you or if you have to transfer. Cast members will provide you information at the entrance to the attraction.

    Wishing you a magical vacation!
