My husband just recently told me he wants us to try to plan a family vacation to WDW during the week that MLK day is in January. How are the crowds and weather during that time? Will we be able to enjoy the pools?

    Hi Kimberly,

According to the Crowd Calender on the unofficial website www.touringplans.com, the crowd levels will vary from 4/10 to 6/10 during the proposed dates of your stay. From past experience, I would expect the crowd levels to be fairly moderate throughout this time.

Weatherwise, the average highs at Walt Disney World in January are in the low 70s, and the lows are in the upper 40s; it's generally not a particularly rainy time. The good news is that the pools at all of the Disney Resort hotels are heated year round so you would definitely be able to enjoy them.

Wishing you a magical trip filled with memories which will last a lifetime!
