Hi! My husband and I recently moved to SoCal for work. Are we able to use the SoCal resident passes if we are unable to update our licenses in time for a visit in February? Could we use a lease or utility bill? Thank you!

    Hello Ariana!

Welcome to planDisney! Congrats on your recent move and I love that you are figuring out how to travel to Disneyland Resort soon!

The So Cal Resident ticket is such a great deal and so many guests are excited about it! Unlike at Walt Disney World Resort, the only proof acceptable at Disneyland Resort for these discounted location-based tickets is a valid government-issued photo ID which shows the appropriate ZIP codes. According to the Offer Details, this deal is only valid for residents of ZIP codes 90000-93599. I spoke to a Cast Member who told me the best solution for this is a valid California Driver's License which is reviewed at the Ticket Booths when you arrive. I'm not sure what the wait time is to get a California driver's license, but I hope you get it arranged before you arrive in February.

I'm sorry if this is not what you wanted to hear but I hope all your paperwork to get your licenses updated moves magically through in the fastest way! The Disney Parks Blog has announced some big events that are occurring in 2024 and I am so excited by all of them! Even if you delay your trip know that you will find a lot of fun to be had when you do arrive!

    Have a magical day!

Meet the Panelist: Nimmy, New York

Hey, it's Nimmy from New York! Just like my guy Jiminy Cricket I am your wisecracking and helpful guide to making the best decisions for your Disney vacation! My husband and I work very hard to journey to our favorite place on Earth, Walt Disney World Resort, as much as we can. We have traveled as just adults, with babies, kids, teenagers, and senior citizens. We have seen so many characters, eaten at amazing places, and consumed a ton of Dole Whips. So "give a little whistle" and let me be your guide! Learn More About Nimmy
