My husband and I are really want to go to a water park, but if I can only do the lazy river and wave pool I don't want to waste money. What waterpark rides could I enjoy at 18 Weeks pregnant?

    Hi Katy!

Congratulations on the upcoming addition to your family! I, too, visited Walt Disney World Resort when pregnant with my little Mouseketeer. You'll definitely want to stay hydrated and take lots of breaks though out the day. Pro Tip: I brought a water bottle from home that I refilled myself at the following Quick Service Dining Locations that feature self serve beverage stations: Satu'li Canteen, Restaurantosaurus, The Electric Umbrella, and Sunshine Seasons. You can also find water fountains in most attraction queues. The one in Na'vi River Journey even includes a dedicated Water Bottled filling station!

Of the 23 attractions listed between both Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park and Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park, 13 do carry the Expectant Mother Advisory. (And three attractions are just for children with a height limit of under 40 inches.) However, there is one all-ages attraction at Typhoon Lagoon that is not listed, which is multi-person raft ride Miss Adventure Falls. One of my best friends rode this attraction while 12 weeks pregnant and with her two-year-old daughter, so I would pick this park over the other.

While these rides have been carefully evaluated by a whole team of various professionals to determine if they should carry this advisory, the decision is ultimately up to you as Cast Members cannot stop you from partaking in a certain attraction. An example of this is I really love Kilimanjaro Safaris, which has the warning, by my Doctor and I thought it wouldn't be any worse than my 7 hour drive to Walt Disney World Resort. So definitely talk to your Doctor, talk to your husband, and just like Jimmy Cricket said 'Let your Conscience be your guide.'

I hope this helped, Katy, and We'll See You Real Soon!
