It's great to see you here today at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Kay!
I understand that it can sometimes be tricky to plan out your day at Walt Disney World Resort when you have one older child that meets most
height requirements and a younger one who doesn't. That's why I'm so pleased to tell you about
Rider Switch, a tool I'm sure you'll get a lot of use out of on your upcoming vacation.
Rider Switch is a service that allows families with children who don't meet the height requirements for some of the more thrilling attractions to split up into two riding groups so someone is always able to look after the little one. The first group, your husband and your older child, will wait in the queue while you tap your
MagicBand at the attraction podium to receive a Rider Switch return time in your
My Disney Experience app. That allows you do take in another attraction with your toddler, meet their favorite
Disney Character, or grab a snack while the first group rides! When they're finished, you can tap your MagicBand again and enter the attraction through the
FastPass+ queue so you don't need to wait in the standby line. Here's a bonus for your oldest: the Rider Switch entitlement is good for up to three guests, so they can ride again with you using the FastPass+ queue if they want!
I hope this answers your question, Kay, and please let us know if there's anything else we can do to help you plan your magical vacation.
