Welcome to planDisney, Alexandra!
We are so happy to hEAR that you will soon be making memories at the Walt Disney World Resort. I love the weeks leading up to a Disney visit because they are filled with excitement and anticipation!
Before having a wild time at
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park, be sure your tickets have been properly linked to your
Disney account, and that you have made theme park reservations via the
Disney Park Pass system for the date of your visit. Both
valid admission and a park reservation for the same date are currently required to enter a theme park for Guests ages 3 and up.
Please note that you will need physical tickets in order to enter Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park. I recommend stopping by a will call window at the entrance of the park on the date of your visit to retrieve admission cards. You will have to present a valid government-issued photo ID along with the credit or debit card used to purchase the tickets, as well as a copy of the confirmation e-mail that was sent to you – I usually print the e-mail and bring it along.
Another option is to visit the
Disney Ticket Center at Disney Springs the evening before you head to Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park. You can pick up your physical tickets and enjoy the shopping and dining options available at Disney Springs. Another great and fun option is buying
MagicBands for each person in your travel party! They can be purchased online at
shopDisney.com and at several retail and merchandise locations throughout the Walt Disney World Resort. After being linked to each Guest, they can be used instead of ticket cards to enter the theme parks. If you have a MagicBand, you do not need to stop by a will call window, or the Disney Ticket Center, and go straight to the parks. As for theme park reservations, they are automatically linked to each Guests' Disney account and don’t need to be printed, so as long as you have valid tickets and a reservation for the same park on the same date you are all set!
planDisney tip: Remember to check the
latest updates on the phased reopening of the Walt Disney World Resort as you prepare for your visit, and download the latest version of the
My Disney Experience app to your mobile device to help us promote physical distancing and reduced contact.
Thank you so much for stopping by planDisney, Alexandra! I hope this helps you while planning and that you have a magical visit.
Best Disney wishes,
Thiana
