    My husband and I will be porting out of Miami with a 1yr old. We're considering a few days at Disney World in advance. What is recommended for travel from Kissimmee to Miami? Should this be avoided with such a little one?

    Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Your upcoming Disney Vacation by Land and Sea will be so much fun! I'm so glad you're planning on spending a few days at Walt Disney World Resort prior to your Disney Cruise. When we sail out of the Florida ports, we often pair our voyages with time either before or after in Walt Disney World. We're just too close not to visit the theme parks!

    My best advice would be to rent a car near the Kissimmee area, drive to the Cruise Terminal in Miami and drop it off there before setting sail. If you're planning on staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel, there's a Car Care Center right on Walt Disney World property! If your little adventurer loves to travel, I think you should definitely make your upcoming Disney Cruise voyage into a land and sea vacation by visiting Walt Disney World. We did a road trip to Disney (from Chicago) a little after my son's first birthday and he did great! If your little one does well in the car, driving from Walt Disney World to Miami should be a fun adventure!
