If my husband and I would like to do a port adventure alone, are we able do do so by leaving our children aboard the ship in the kids club?

    Hey there, Lindsey!

Thanks so much for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with an awesome question. Having the flexibility of doing family port adventures as well as adults-only adventures is what we enjoy the most about sailing with Disney. Though it's nice to have your whole family with you on each excursion, there could be times when it makes sense to enjoy a port activity with just the adults. Your children are absolutely welcome to spend the day at the Youth Clubs. My husband and I were a bit apprehensive when we first decided to do this, but we thought the weather might not be enjoyable for the kids... so we decided to leave them onboard for the day. To our surprise, our kids were floored -- they just love the youth clubs, and they were thrilled to know that they would be spending all day with their friends doing fun activities around the ship.

I can't say enough about how awesome the Youth Counselors are with the kids. They do such a great job engaging the little ones (as well as the bigger ones) and they make sure that everyone is included and has fun. I am able to enjoy myself when I know, for a fact, that my kids are having a good time on their own at the youth clubs. The Counselors even plan for snacks and meals throughout the day. If the little ones need a nap sometime in the afternoon, they'll also make it comfortable for them to catch some zzz's (my son was a napper when he was little!).

I'm sure your kids will have lots of stories to share with you at dinner. Every minute of the day seems to be an adventure. The Personal Navigator will list some of the fun activities to look forward to throughout the day. So, go ahead and plan your port adventures, LIndsey... and don't forget date night!

    Happy planning,
