My husband and I are going to POLY 9/25 - 10/2 for our 32nd anniversary. I have read some negative reviews lately (dated and in disrepair) and am worried that it might not be the romantic getaway we were hoping for. I thought it had been renovated.

Hi Christine - Congratulations on your anniversary!  That's a fabulous milestone!

I stayed at the Polynesian twice this past year, and both of the rooms I had were newly renovated.  The rooms are among the largest at Walt Disney World, and are very nice.

The resort itself could be considered dated by some, only because the dark wood buildings may "look" older.  But, in my opinion, everything inside is very nice and updated.  I saw no signs of disrepair or wear and tear at all.

I think you'll enjoy your time there.  It's a great choice for an anniversary celebration!
