my husband and I plus kids and grandkids are planning a Feb. 2015 disney world vacation. my question is if we want rooms by each other would they all have to be decorated the same? we are looking at Art of Animation Resort.

    Hi Debbie,

Congratulations on your upcoming grand gathering!  I have a large family and personally love the amazing choices we have in the value category of Resort hotels and my children simply love how fun they are.  We love them so much that in a few short weeks my family will be returning to the Art of Animation Resort hotel for our summer family vacation.

The Art of Animation is divided into 4 enchantingly decorated sections which are themed after the Lion King, Finding Nemo, Cars and The Little Mermaid animation features.  Each section is in a separate physical location so if your family wishes to be in the same section of the Resort, you will all need to choose the same theme (Lion King, Finding Nemo, Cars or The Little Mermaid).  All of the sections share the same bus transportation system and food court, Landscape of Flavors.  If your family chooses to stay in different areas of the resort you can walk from one section to the other quite easily, however the Resort is quite large and you should count on about a 5-10 minute walk.

One important difference about the different sections of the Resort you should note is that only family suites are in the Lion King, Finding Nemo and Cars sections.  Conversely The Little Mermaid only has standard rooms and does not have family suites.

Thank you for submitting your question to us Debbie.  Answering vacation planning questions about Walt Disney World is my number one pastime!  Please come back and see us again at the Disney Park Moms Panel if you have any further questions.  We love to help make your vacation more MAGICAL every step of the way.

    Blessings,
    Brenda ºOº
