My husband and I are planning a week long trip with our 2 and 3 year old in October. What resort would you recommend for fun pools ( we plan to spend time daily in the afternoon at the resort for nap and own time) as well as leisure adult time? Thanks!

    Hi Dan,

I am so excited for your family to enjoy Walt Disney World together. When our kids were that age, we really enjoyed the Magic Kingdom Resort area for convenience and amenities. Because you'll likely spend much of your time at Magic Kingdom and depending upon your budget, I'd highly recommend Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. You mentioned leisure adult time too, and Disney's Grand Floridian offers the ultimate in elegance, including Signature Dining locations as well as casual dining for the entire family. Check out the newest addition to the pool area as featured on the Disney Parks Blog, the new 'Alice In Wonderland' water play area.

In a moderate category of Disney's Resort Hotels, I'd recommend Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort. If planning to spend significant time poolside, you'll find the zero-entry pirate paradise a huge hit with your little ones.

I'd also consider Disney's Art of Animation Resort in the value category. As Disney's newest Resort Hotel, you'll find the largest pool on all Walt Disney World Resort property. The Big Blue Pool will entertain your family for hours with the innovative state-of-the-art underwater speakers!

I would love to help you more, Dan, so please send back your thoughts. I'm happy to expand on any of the above Resort Hotels or a separate planning topic altogether.

    Best wishes!
