Hi there, Anna! Welcome to the planDisney panel! I’m so glad to chat with you about your upcoming trip to Walt Disney World. Like you, I took my children from a very young age to visit the Disney Parks, and found incredible ways to thrill them each and every time we visited. One of my very favorite things is watching how each trip allows them to experience new and different things as they mature and grow! I love watching them enjoy The Happiest Place on Earth through every stage.
With regards to your little one, I can understand wanting to “blow off steam” between attractions. While playgrounds at all Disney Parks and Resorts remain closed for the time being to accommodate new distancing guidelines as outlined on the
Experience Updates pages, please know that there are still many ways for your child to play and explore regardless. After all, all the Disney Parks are in and of themselves a playground made for children! Check out
this list for of all available attractions at each Theme Park. For example, while at
Magic Kingdom Park, you’ll be able to enjoy the
Prince Charming Regal Carrousel, and picking out your favorite stallions! From there, wander over to
The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh to take a thrilling tour through the hundred acre wood. There is also a very nice grassy area in the central “hub” of Magic Kingdom where your little one can have some free space to roam or just sit and rest!
While at
Disney’s Animal Kingdom, which I highly recommend for your little one, check out Rafiki’s Planet Watch, where a train ride will lead you to the
Conservation Station, where you can explore the grounds, see some live animals and participate in an Animation experience! I also recommend the
Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail, where you will be able to explore and hike at your boy’s pace, and see some wonderful landscapes and surprises along the way!
These suggestions are only the beginning. Please check out
this website which includes recommended activities with little ones at Walt Disney World Resort! My best recommendation would be to take it slow, however, and make time for rest and hydration, plus bring or
rent a stroller either in the Parks or outside from a local vendor, because those Park naps (and a place to store any goodies you may acquire along the way) is simply priceless! Plus, check the
Park Maps to learn the location of each
Baby Care Center, as they serve as an incredible place to recharge and take care of business!
See ya real soon!
