My husband and I are planning a trip to WDW with our two sons ages 4 and 7. We are arriving on 6/7/12 around 2pm and departing on 6/13/12 at 4pm. We have a 5 day park hopper with water parks pass and the dining plan. We would love any help planning!

    Hello, Kelly!

    Happy to help!

First, if your boys are Star Wars fans (we never miss a Clone Wars episode here), then I suggest you check out Star Wars Weekend at Hollywood Studios on Friday after your arrival. (The crowds may be a little lower since it's not a Sat. or Sun.) Great parades, character meetings, and so much more await fans of all ages.

Consider where you want to eat, too, and plan your park visits accordingly.  If you'd like character dining, I suggest Chef Mickey's (at Disney's Contemporary Resort), The Crystal Palace (inside Magic Kingdom Park), The Coral Reef (Epcot, one wall looks into the 5.7 million gallon aquarium!), Teppan Edo (Epcot, entertaining hibachi) and Chef de France (Epcot, with Chef Remy!) At Hollywood Studios, we love Mama Melrose's Ristorante Italiano (Fantasmic Package, if available) and at Downtown Disney, your boys will love T-Rex Cafe.

Consider heading to a water park one morning only, then head back to your room to change and out to a park which you're returning to for a second visit, perhaps with an early dinner reservation.  This will help you get back to see more attractions which you just couldn't get to that first day (Magic Kingdom and Epcot are usually the parks where we find ourselves returning to for a second visit, especially when coordinated with our dining reservations.)

We tend to avoid park hopping whenever possible, if it's a short trip, since commute time takes time away from attractions and entertainment, too.

Please send me more questions so that I can help you make the most of your park days, including which resort you'll call home and any other favorites or needs of your family.  I'd love to help!
